GTK Press has been engaged in educational publishing since 1998 and has published numerous titles supporting the Ontario Curriculums. The Science and Technology Activities Resource for Grades 1 – 8 are recommended by the Ministry of Education and are currently posted on the Trillium List together with the Math Now series.

While changes in the classroom may not be noticeable, technology has made a substantial impact on the learning environment over the last decade. The emerging learning paradigm calls for changes in the delivery of curriculum in the K-8 educational sector.. Some of the challenges faced by the industry include new media for content delivery (online, electronic reader, to name some), currency of content, students’ proficiency in the use of technologies, the selection of media of delivery to maintain equity in learning, and teaching support.

As a result of our research efforts and with the support of the federal government through the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax incentive program, GTK has developed an application that allows the Company to publish all print resources in IMS Content Packaging compliant format for online delivery and update. We offer solutions and workable business models to meet the challenges of the educational sector, and we welcome partnership with school boards and ministries of education.
